Singla Crockery

You can find Singla Crockery at number 25 in Sena Nagar. We are right by the Model Town crossing, which is usually a very busy intersection. There’s always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. Our shop is filled with plates, bowls, and all kinds of kitchen items. We have to be careful how we walk around because there is glass and ceramic everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves. We’ve been here at this crossing for a long time, so most of the local residents know us. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so we keep the doors open and the fans going full blast. It’s a dusty job keeping all that crockery clean, but we try our best to keep it looking presentable. We have some old wooden counters that have been here since the beginning. They’ve seen a lot of customers over the years. We don't have a computerized system or anything too modern. We write things down in our ledger and use a simple calculator. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we are just a small shop on a busy corner. When the sun goes down, the lights from the crossing shine into the shop, and we start packing things up for the night. It’s a simple life, selling cups and saucers to the people of Sena Nagar. We enjoy the noise of the crossing most of the time.
