The Timber Market is a busy place to be every day. We are over at Plot No.240/1, and if you know the area, we are quite close to the HDFC Bank branch. Most of our time is spent moving wood around and dealing with the dust that comes with it. It’s a practical business, nothing too complicated. We’ve got the stacks piled up and the smell of fresh cut timber is always in the air. People come in looking for specific sizes, and we do our best to find what’s in the yard. The traffic in the market can be a real headache, especially when the big trucks are trying to turn around in these narrow lanes. You learn to be patient after a few years of this. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to straighten up the office or check the inventory again. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and shifting things. Our spot is easy to find because of the bank nearby, so that helps when people are looking for us. We don't have any big corporate signs or anything, just the usual boards and the wood. It gets dusty, and by the end of the day, everything is covered in a thin layer of it. But that’s just part of being in the timber trade. We’ve been here a while and know most of the other shop owners on the street.
