Shiv Rice Mill

Shiv Rice Mill is located out in Village Buggar, right on Aspal Kala Road. It is a quiet enough area until we get the engines started in the morning. We have been working out of this building for years. It isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular mill with a lot of heavy equipment inside. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the daily tasks. The road is a bit bumpy sometimes, but the trucks manage it just fine. My cousins and I run the place. We learned everything by just doing it day after day. There is always something that needs oiling or a belt that needs replacing. It’s honest work. We see the same faces every season when the harvest comes in. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the grain properly. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but we use that time to sweep up. It’s dusty work, and you definitely need a good pair of boots. We don't bother with fancy signs or anything. People in the village know who we are. We just try to be fair and get the job done without any drama. It’s a simple life out here in Buggar, and the mill is a big part of it for us. We just keep plugging away at it.
