Jain Scientific Glass Works

You can find Jain Scientific Glass Works at No. 14 in the Industrial Estate here in Ambala Cantt. We are pretty close to the Government Primary School No. 1, so you often hear the kids playing during their breaks while we are working. The area is mostly small shops and factories like ours. We mostly deal with scientific glass, which is a bit different from the usual window stuff. It requires a lot of patience and a steady hand because the pieces are often small and fragile. We spend a lot of time over the burners and benches. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll ever see, but it gets the job done for the schools and labs that need equipment. The workshop can get pretty hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay at it. Most of the people working here have been doing this for years, so they know the glass well. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy website. Usually, people just call us or drop by the estate when they need something replaced or made to a specific size. It’s a quiet kind of life, except for when the school bell rings or a heavy truck rolls down the industrial road. We just keep our heads down and focus on the glasswork until the day is done.
