Standard Scientific Glass Work

Our place, Standard Scientific Glass Work, is located at Plot No. 12 on Kardhan Road. It’s right in the middle of the industrial area. If you’re trying to find us, just look for the Gargi Gas Godown. We’re pretty close to that landmark. It’s a busy part of town with lots of trucks coming and going at all hours. We do a lot of glass work that’s mostly for scientific use. It’s a bit messy inside our shop sometimes because we’re always cutting or shaping something with the torches. We don't have any fancy carpets or a person waiting at a front desk. Usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy holding a piece of glass at that moment. The dust from the road gets in everywhere but that’s just how it is when you work in an industrial zone. We’ve been at this plot for a good while now. Some of our guys have worked here since they were much younger. We focus on getting the measurements right because if it’s for a laboratory, the glass has to fit perfectly. It’s not always easy work, and the heat from the glass-blowing equipment makes the shop floor pretty warm, especially in the summer months. We just take our tea breaks when we can and get back to the job. Kardhan Road isn’t the prettiest street around, but it’s where we do our business every day.
