Our office is on the first floor of the Anant Building on Bank Road in Ambala Cantt. It is an old-school kind of area. Bank Road is usually packed with people and vehicles, so there is always something to look at out the window. The building itself has been around for a while, and our space on the first floor—175/7—is where we spend our days. Ambala Cantt has that unique energy, being a railway hub and all. You can sometimes hear the distant whistles of the trains if the wind is right. We have got a simple setup here. A few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a computer that is a bit slow but gets the job done. We handle developer work, which means a lot of meetings and even more documents. It is not a high-tech lab; it is just a room where work happens. We get our lunch from the local shops nearby; there are some great spots for a quick meal on Bank Road. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so we have to watch our step. We are not trying to impress anyone with fancy furniture. We just want a place where we can focus and get through the list of things to do. It is a busy, noisy, and very real part of Ambala, and we have grown quite fond of being right in the middle of it all.
