Ggs Bricks Company is out on the Dhuri By Pass Road. We are located right in Sangaroor. Being on the bypass means we see a lot of long-distance traffic. The trucks roar past all day and night. Our yard is big and wide because we need the room for the stacks of bricks. It is a Punjab landscape out here with wide horizons. The work starts early before the sun gets too high. We have the kiln going and the workers are busy molding the clay. It is a repetitive job but it is what keeps the town growing. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. Our office is a simple structure on the edge of the property. You will usually find us there checking the logs or talking to the drivers. The dust gets everywhere especially when the wind picks up across the bypass. We have a routine that hasn't changed much in years. We know the soil here and how it reacts to the fire. That is the most important thing. Sangaroor is a good place to be and the people are friendly. We have our regulars who come to us every time they build something new. We just keep the fire burning and make sure the bricks are ready when they are needed. It is not a glamorous life but it is ours.
