Credit Officer

I work out of 102 Gh-27 in the MDC area of Sector-5, Panchkula. It’s a residential complex, so it doesn’t look like a typical office building from the outside. Being a credit officer means I spend a lot of time looking at numbers and reading through files. My desk is usually a bit of a disaster with folders stacked up, but I have my own system. The neighborhood is actually quite nice, with trees around and a bit of a view of the hills if you stand in the right spot. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. People come by with their documents, and we sit down to talk about their situations. There’s no fancy lobby or coffee machine that makes lattes. I just have a kettle and some tea bags in the corner. Sometimes the phone rings all morning, and other times it’s dead silent for hours. I’ve lived in this part of Haryana for years, so I know the local roads and where to get the best lunch. The job isn’t glamorous. It involves a lot of checking facts and making sure the math adds up. I try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door at Sector-5. It’s just me doing my job in a quiet apartment-style office. It’s not a big corporate headquarters, just a place where business gets handled one file at a time until the day is done.
