We sit right here in Vpo Dukheri, Ambala, dealing with the finance side of Bajaj bikes. My name is on the door and we’ve been here at Ripudaman Singh's place for a while now. Most days it’s just us handling paperwork and talking to folks who come in from around the district looking to get a new vehicle sorted. It’s a practical setup, just a desk and some plastic chairs really. We don’t have any big signs or shiny posters everywhere. If you need to find us, just ask for the house of Rajbir Singh, everyone in the village knows it. It gets busy during the harvest season when people have a bit of extra cash and want to upgrade their transport. We stay until the last person is helped, even if it’s way past closing time. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a local office doing what needs to be done. We keep our records in old files and on the computer when it works. It’s a simple life.
