Aman Cement Store

We are located right by Fatak No-127 in the Ravidas Basti area. It’s near the Hari Nagar Post Office, which is a landmark most people know. The shop is basically just a big storage space for cement bags. It’s dusty work, there’s no avoiding that. If you come by, you’ll probably see the guys loading up a truck or a rickshaw. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s just us, the bags of cement, and the noise from the nearby railway crossing. We’ve been here for a long time and the locals in Krishna Colony know where to find us when they’re adding a room to their house or fixing a wall. We open early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stay even longer to get everything unloaded and stacked properly. We don’t spend much time on the computer; mostly we’re just dealing with customers face-to-face and taking notes on scraps of paper. It’s a straightforward business. We sell cement and that’s about it. We know the product well because we handle it every single day. The floor is always gray with dust, and our clothes usually are too by the end of the shift. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. There are always trucks coming and going, so it stays pretty loud around the shop.
