We are located at Thottummadathil House in Varapuzha. It’s a quiet corner of the Ernakulam District in Kerala. The building is an old residential house that we’ve used as our office for years. It’s surrounded by trees and is quite peaceful compared to the bustle of Kochi. We focus on local development projects in this part of the state. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We aren't a corporate setup with glass walls and uniforms. It’s much more relaxed. We sit around the main table and figure out the schedules for the week. The rain in Kerala can be heavy, so we spend a lot of time making sure our sites are protected. Inside the office, it’s mostly just files, some basic computers, and a lot of empty tea glasses. We don't have a receptionist, so you just come in and find someone. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We know the land here really well. That helps when we are planning new buildings. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people seeing what we’ve built nearby. It’s a steady life. We like being in Varapuzha because it feels like home. The office is just a place to keep the business running while we focus on the actual construction. It works for us and we keep things moving along.
