Vishal Trading Company

We are right at 110, Arjun Avenue, which is just opposite the Samartheshwar Mahadev temple near the Law Garden Cross Roads. It is a very active part of Ahmedabad and we have a front-row seat to all the action. Vishal Trading Company is our business, and we have been trading goods from this office for a long time. The office itself is pretty simple, with a few desks and a lot of paper ledgers. We haven't really moved over to everything being on computers yet because we like the old way. It is a small team here, just three or four of us who have been around since the start. We don't have any big slogans or mission statements. We just try to be fair and get our trading done every day. The area gets very busy in the evenings with the market and the temple visitors, so it is never quiet around here. We have a small stove in the back where we make tea for ourselves and any visitors who drop in. It is not a corporate setup at all. We just sit at our desks, answer the phone, and talk to the people who come in. We’ve known most of our customers for years and they know where to find us. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. We just keep the records straight and the boxes moving.
