Mahveer Sales Corporation

Our shop is the first one in Laxmi Complex, right in Akhipura. Being Shop No.1 makes it easy for people to spot us as soon as they turn the corner into the market. Mahveer Sales Corporation is mostly just me and a helper who comes in after lunch. We sell a variety of items and the inventory changes quite a bit depending on what we can get. The complex gets really busy in the mornings when the other shops start opening up their shutters. We have been here in Akhipura for several years now and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit with new buildings going up. It is a small space, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes so they don't fall over. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a busy morning with lots of customers. We don't use a lot of fancy computers, just a notebook and some pens to keep track of what we sell. It is a simple way of doing business but it has worked for us so far. The fans in the ceiling hum all day to keep the heat away, but it is still quite warm in the afternoons. We know the milkman and the newspaper guy and all the folks who walk past every day to go to work. It feels like a small village even though we are in a busy area. We stay open until the sun goes down and then go home.
