R.K. Poddar Welfare Foundation

Our team is based at Plot No. 108 in the Panchwati area of Alwar. It’s a quiet enough part of town, which suits us just fine for the kind of work we do at R.K. Poddar Welfare Foundation. Rajasthan is home for us, and Alwar has its own way of doing things, so we try to fit in with that local rhythm. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can sit down and get our projects organized. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors mostly know who we are. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture because that's not what we are about. We’d rather just use what we have to help out where it’s needed in the community. Sometimes the heat in Alwar gets pretty intense in the summer, which slows us down a little, but we keep pushing through. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there. We just want to do our part right here in Panchwati. Every morning we open up, check what needs doing, and start on it. It’s a lot of small tasks that eventually add up to something helpful. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe ourselves. We are just a local group working out of a plot in Alwar, trying to make things a little better for the people around us.
