Anayra Welfare Foundation

Anayra Welfare Foundation is based at A-94 in Ambedkar Nagar, Alwar. It is a regular house in a busy part of town. Alwar is a place with a lot of history, and Ambedkar Nagar is one of those neighborhoods where everyone seems to know what their neighbors are up to. We like it that way. Our office is basically just a front room that we have converted. It has enough space for a few desks and some filing cabinets. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy. People usually find us by the house number on the wall. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We spend most of our time dealing with the small details of our work. There is no big corporate strategy here. We just look at what needs to be done today and we do it. Sometimes the neighbors’ cows wander past the window, which is just part of living here. We do not have fancy coffee machines; we just make tea on a small stove in the back room. It is a very grounded way to work. Most of us have lived in Alwar our whole lives. We do not use big words to describe what we do. We are just a group of people working out of a house in Ambedkar Nagar. That is about all there is to it, really.
