Sowmiya Plastic

We are located right near Mahilalayam Public School in Thottumugham. If you are around here you probably see the kids and parents passing by every morning and afternoon. It makes the area feel quite lively. Our place, Sowmiya Plastic, isn't very large but we pack it full of whatever stock we have on hand. Mostly it’s just us moving things around and making sure we have what people are looking for. The post office is close too so there’s always people walking around our part of the road. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when the school lets out but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this because we wanted to have something of our own in the neighborhood. It’s a simple setup with shelves and a counter where we spend most of our day. We don't do much advertising because most people just know where we are. Dealing with plastic goods means we have a lot of bulky items to stack up and it’s a bit of a puzzle trying to fit everything in sometimes. The weather can get hot in Thottumugham so we keep a fan going and just get on with the work. It’s hard work and long hours but it feels good to be part of the community here. We just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks and keeping the shop running as well as we can.
