Working out here at S. Vazhakulam in Marampilly P.O. is a bit different than being in the middle of a big city like Aluva. It’s quieter, though the facility itself stays pretty busy. Avt Mccormick Ingredients Pvt. Ltd. has been part of this landscape for a bit. You drive down the road and the greenery starts to take over, then you see our gates. Inside, things are kept pretty tidy because we’re handling ingredients and you can’t have a mess when you’re doing that. I spend a lot of my time checking on the storage areas or talking to the guys at the loading docks. The weather here can be a bit much when the monsoon hits, and the sound of the rain on the roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a lot of weighing, packing, and checking labels. Nothing too complicated, but it has to be done right. The local tea shop nearby is where most of us head when the shift ends. It's a solid place to work, and the people from around Marampilly are good folks. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just the supply trucks coming in and out at all hours. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve all gotten used to over the years.
