High Adventure

We’ve been at The Mall for a while now. High Adventure is just where we keep all the stuff for getting outside. It’s a small place, mostly packed with gear and some maps. Some days it’s quiet, other days people come in asking about trails or looking for a sturdy pair of boots. We don’t have fancy displays or anything. It's just a shop. My cousin started it because he liked being out in the hills more than sitting at a desk. We try to keep things organized but sometimes boxes get stacked in the corners when a big shipment comes in. Usually, it's just one or two of us here. If you walk past the main shops at The Mall, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep the door open when the weather is nice. Sometimes the neighbor's dog hangs out by the entrance. It isn't a huge operation, just a local spot for people who need gear that actually works. Most of the stuff we sell is things we’ve used ourselves. We don't really do the whole big-box store vibe. It’s more of a place where you can just grab what you need and get back to your trip. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go over the years, some heading up the mountains and others just passing through. It's a decent place to work and we like being right here on the main stretch.
