Ashok Hall Girls Residential School

Ashok Hall Girls Residential School is located in P O Majkhali. It’s up in the hills, so the air is usually quite cool. Being a residential school for girls, the atmosphere is a bit different from day schools. The students live in the dorms here throughout the term. We have a set schedule that starts with a wake-up call early in the morning. Majkhali is a quiet area, so there aren’t many distractions. The girls spend their time in classes and then in the study hall. We have a kitchen that prepares meals for everyone. It’s a lot of work to keep things running smoothly. The teachers live here too, which means they are around if someone needs help with homework. We have a garden area where the girls can walk during their free time. The buildings are older, but they are sturdy and keep the cold out. We don’t have a lot of flashy equipment. We mostly stick to textbooks and notebooks. Sometimes we have small events in the common room. It gets a bit noisy then, but mostly it’s just the sound of people talking. Managing a place like this takes a lot of patience. We deal with daily issues as they come up, like a leaky tap or a broken window. It’s just a regular part of life here in the hills. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the girls are doing okay. It’s a long walk to the main road, so we stay on campus mostly.
