Agriplast

Agriplast is situated in Bahadurpur, which is part of the Phulpur area near Allahabad. Our place is basically a hub for plastic goods that farmers and local folks need for their work. The road outside can be quite dusty during the summer months, and you will often see trucks passing by heading towards the main city. Inside our building, we have stacks of rolls and sheets piled up. It is a practical space, nothing fancy at all. Usually, there are a couple of us working the floor, moving things around or checking the inventory. The office is just a corner with a desk and some old chairs where we sit to talk to people who come in. We get a lot of visitors from the surrounding villages in Phulpur looking for specific items for their fields. The sun hits the front of the shop quite hard in the afternoons, so we usually pull the shutters halfway down to keep the glare out. It is a quiet routine we have here. Sometimes the phone rings all day, and other times it is just the sound of the ceiling fan. We know most of the people who stop by because they have been coming to this part of Bahadurpur for a long time. It feels like a regular part of the community. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure we have what people need when they drive down from Allahabad.
