Mahbert High School

We've been here on Hill Cart Road in Siliguri for quite a while now. The building is right in the Saibari area, near Pradhan Nagar. It's a busy spot but we make it work. Most days are just full of kids running around the halls and teachers trying to get through the lessons. We aren't a fancy place, just a regular high school where people come to learn and grow up. It gets a bit noisy when the classes let out, especially with the traffic on the main road outside. We have students from all over the local neighborhoods. Some of them walk here, others take the bus. It’s just how things go. The staff here mostly lives nearby too. We try to keep the place tidy but with so many teenagers, it’s a constant job. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a football match or just exams. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It's mostly just desks, chalkboards, and a lot of books. People know us as the school near the post office. It's a landmark for some. We’ve seen a lot of faces come and go over the years. Some of the old students even come back to visit, which is nice. Life here is pretty steady, following the seasons and the school calendar. We don't have a lot to brag about, but we've been doing this for a long time. It’s just us doing our part on Hill Cart Road.
