Shri Ram Book Center

Shri Ram Book Center is located near Paliwal Inter College on Achal Road. Since we are so close to the college, we see a lot of students coming in every day. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with books, notebooks, and all kinds of stationery. It is a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles because we try to fit as much as we can into the small space. Achal Road is always busy, especially in the mornings when the students are heading to Paliwal Inter College. You can hear the school bells and the shouting from the street. We spend our time dusting the shelves and helping kids find the right pens or the specific textbooks their teachers asked for. The lights inside are a bit dim, and the smell of paper is very strong. We have a small wooden counter where we do all the transactions. It’s not a fancy bookstore with a cafe or anything like that. It’s just a place to get what you need for school. Sometimes during the exam season, it gets so crowded in here that people have to wait outside on Achal Road. We don’t really do any advertising. The students just know we are here near the college. It’s a good feeling to see the same kids grow up over the years as they go through their classes and keep coming back for their supplies.
