Dresscliq is based at Mgb-154 in Rkpuram-Iind, right on Agra Road in Aligarh. It’s a place where we spend our days surrounded by fabric, thread, and half-finished garments. We aren't some high-end fashion house with a runway. It's more of a busy workspace where we try to get orders out the door as fast as we can. Some days the sewing machines are going non-stop, and other days we are just buried under piles of packing material. Aligarh is a busy place, and Agra Road always has a lot of traffic, which makes getting things shipped out a bit of a challenge sometimes. We started this small and have just been trying to keep it going. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we make a mistake with a stitch or a size, but we always try to make it right. We don't have a big team of designers; we just pick styles we think people will actually want to wear. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the fabric or making sure the colors look right. It’s a lot of manual labor and staring at needles for hours on end. We just like making clothes and seeing them go to people who will enjoy them. It’s a simple business, really, run from a small corner of Rkpuram. We just get on with it every morning and hope the power stays on.
