Our spot is in Ram Ratan Colony, over in Mahendra Nagar. If you look for the Pepal Ka Mandir, we are right nearby. It’s a good place for a DJ business because everyone around Aligarh loves a bit of loud music for their celebrations. We have all the speakers and wires stacked up in the front room. Sometimes the neighbors complain when we test the bass, but mostly they just ask us if we are free for their next function. I’ve lived in this colony for years, so I know almost every street and shortcut. We don't do all that fancy marketing stuff. Usually, I’m just out in the van hauling equipment to some hall or another. It’s heavy work, especially in the heat, and my hands are always a bit dirty from moving cables. The Pepal tree is a good landmark because the lanes here can get confusing for people who don't live in Mahendra Nagar. We started with just two small speakers and now we have a whole setup that can fill a big ground. I don't talk much about sound engineering or anything like that. I just know what sounds loud and clear. People just want to dance and have a good time, and we help them do that. It’s a simple life, and the music keeps things interesting even when the work days are long and the equipment is heavy to carry.
