Sakthi Foods

Sakthi Foods is located in Kumarapuram Po, which is part of Haripad. It’s a fairly quiet area compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. Most of our day is spent in the kitchen area where we prepare things. The air usually smells like whatever we are making that day, which can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We have a few big tables where we pack things into bags by hand. The building is simple, with a tin roof that sounds like a drum when it rains, and it rains quite a lot here in Haripad. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. We just focus on getting the food ready and making sure it’s packed tight. Sometimes we have to wait for the local transport to come by so we can send things out to the post office. Kumarapuram is a small community, and we know most of the people who pass by our door. We keep our tools clean and our workspace organized, though it gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big batch. It’s just us doing the work we know how to do, day in and day out. There isn't much more to it than that. We just keep the lights on and keep working until the sun goes down over the trees. It’s a quiet life.
