Ambady Playschool & Daycare

We are located in Nangiarkulangara, right in the heart of Alappuzha. It is a small setup, mostly for the little ones who aren't old enough for regular school yet. We have a few rooms filled with toys and mats for nap time. The day starts early when parents drop their kids off before heading to work. It is usually a bit chaotic for the first hour with some crying and some kids just wanting to play. We have a small yard where they can run around when the weather is nice, which isn't always the case in Kerala. When it pours, we all stay inside and do some drawing or sing songs. The staff here are just local women who know how to handle children. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and making sure everyone has eaten their lunch. It isn't a corporate daycare with a hundred rules; it is more like a big house where kids stay for the day. We try to keep things safe and simple. Sometimes we run out of art supplies or a toy breaks, and we just fix it or find something else to do. People in the neighborhood trust us because they know who we are. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look after the children, make sure they get their rest, and wait for their parents to pick them up in the evening.
