Nm Pharma

Nm Pharma is based out in Kurum. It is a small place, and everybody knows everybody else around here. Our address is just listed as Kurum Kurum because that is really all you need to know to find us. There aren't many big landmarks like in the city. We have a small storefront that stays open throughout the day. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the summer, so we keep the shutters halfway down sometimes to stay cool. It is not a complicated business. We keep the basic stuff people need and wait for the supply trucks to come through. Sometimes they take a while because of the roads. We spend the downtime chatting with neighbors or re-arranging the bottles on the back wall. There is a lot of dust that comes off the road, so we are always wiping things down with a cloth. It is quiet for most of the afternoon when people are resting. Then in the evening, when the air cools down, it gets a bit more active. We don't have a fancy computer system or anything, just our ledgers and a good memory for where things are kept. Living and working in Kurum is simple. We don't have to deal with the rush of Mumbai or Pune. It is just us and the local folks needing their regular supplies. We stay open late enough for the farmers coming back. It is just a regular life in a small village.
