Vandana Provision Store

Our shop, Vandana Provision Store, is right near Nagina Bagh and the J L N Hospital. Because we are so close to the hospital, we see a lot of people who are visiting patients or working there. It’s a bit different than a regular neighborhood shop. We keep things that people might need in a hurry, like bottled water or snacks, besides the usual kitchen staples. The atmosphere around here is a bit quiet sometimes, but the foot traffic is constant. I spend a lot of my day just restocking the front shelves. The shop has high ceilings but it’s quite narrow. We’ve been here for several years now. I like to keep a chair outside the door to sit for a minute when it’s not too busy. The hospital staff often comes by for their breaks. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name written on the board above the door. It’s an honest way to make a living. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close up and do it. It feels good to be a place where people can find what they need, especially when they are dealing with things at the hospital. We just keep our heads down and do our work. There isn't much else to it besides helping whoever walks through that door.
