Khanagwal Shop

Our shop is over on Srinagar Road, right by the Mahatama Gandhi School Road. It is a lively spot because of all the students. You can always tell what time it is just by the noise levels outside; when school lets out, the whole street fills up with kids and bicycles. Khanagwal Shop has been here for a bit, and we have seen a lot of changes on this road. We sell a variety of things, mostly stuff that the local families and students might need. It is not a polished place with glass walls and bright lights. It is more of an old-school shop where things are stacked where they fit. We spend a lot of time chatting with the parents or the teachers who stop by. The Mahatama Gandhi School Road is a good landmark, so people never have trouble finding us. We do not have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just try to keep the shelves stocked and the floor swept. Sometimes the kids come in just to look around or buy something small. It gets a bit chaotic during the morning rush, but we manage. We have got a small radio that we keep on most of the day. It is a simple way to spend the day, watching the neighborhood go by from our front door. We are just a local fixture on Srinagar Road.
