Usman Travels

If you walk toward Kamani Gate in the Dargah Bazar area of Ajmer, you will find Usman Travels. This part of town is always crowded, especially with all the people coming for the Dargah. It can be a bit overwhelming with the noise and the shops everywhere, but that is just how life is here. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time. The office isn't very large, just enough space for a desk and a couple of stools for anyone who stops by. We spend a lot of time talking to travelers who are trying to figure out their next move. Whether it’s a bus or a car they need, we just look at the schedule and tell them what’s available. It’s a lot of manual work, writing things down and checking the lists. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit there and chat with whoever is inside. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't use any fancy systems. People know us because we are right there near the gate. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long, the vendors shouting and the bells ringing. It’s a lively place to be. We just try to help folks get where they are going without making it complicated. It's just us here every day, from morning until late evening. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making things work.
