Umang Provision Store

We are located on the Nand Main Road in Pushkar, very close to the Sen Sadan building. It’s a decent spot with people always walking by on their way to the center of town. We sell things that every household needs on a daily basis. This includes cleaning supplies, snacks, and all the basic grains. We’ve been operating this provision store for a good while now. It’s not a very large space inside, so we have to stack things up really high on the wooden shelves. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to reach the items on the top. We see a lot of tourists because it’s Pushkar, but most of our regular customers are locals who live right on this road. We open up early and stay open until the sun goes down. The floor is just plain grey cement and we have some old counters that have been here since we started. It feels like home to us because we spend so much of our time here every day. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting whenever the new stock arrives from the suppliers. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy to get attention. Just the name written above the door. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We know which neighbor prefers which brand of tea or soap. We don't really do much else besides running this store. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for people to come in.
