Tanwar Marble

You can find Tanwar Marble over at Plot No-G-1 - 134 in the 3rd Phase of Madanganj-Kishangarh. We’re situated pretty close to the railway bridge, so we hear the trains passing by all day and night. Kishangarh is a huge hub for marble, and we’re just one small part of that massive industry. Our plot is usually filled with blocks and slabs of different colors and sizes. It’s a busy environment with a lot of heavy machinery running. We started this because we knew the stone business well and wanted to have our own place. It isn't always easy, especially when the market is slow or the weather is bad. We spend our days checking the stones and talking to truck drivers. The dust is everywhere, so we’re always cleaning our glasses or shaking out our clothes. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning; it’s mostly just the open yard and a small room where we keep the books. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the other yard owners in the 3rd Phase. It’s a tough way to make a living, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a truck loaded up with decent slabs heading off to a customer. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work that’s in front of us every single day. The trains keep moving and so do we, trying to keep up with everything. It is just how it goes here.
