Soni Marbles Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Madanganj, Kishangarh. Our yard is located on Pariawaran Road, right opposite the Marble Association building. If you know Kishangarh, you know this is the heart of the stone trade. We have a lot of marble slabs sitting out in the sun. It gets very hot here during the summer months, and the white stone reflects all that light. We are a private limited company on paper, but on the ground, we are just a group of people moving heavy stones all day. The work is physically demanding and there is always white dust on our clothes. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and homeowners who come to look at the different patterns in the marble. Sometimes they stay for an hour just trying to decide. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; people just walk through the rows of slabs in the yard. Pariawaran Road is always full of trucks and tractors carrying blocks from the quarries. It is a noisy place, but we like being right where the action is. We keep a small office in the corner where we do the paperwork and drink tea. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the Marble Association grow across the street. We just keep doing our work, day in and day out, handling one stone at a time.
