Siddharth Provision Store

Nagra Shopping Center isn't really a mall like the ones you see in the bigger cities, it’s more of a collection of concrete blocks where we all work. Siddharth Provision Store is right there in Naka Madar. The shop has a metal shutter that’s a bit hard to pull up in the morning because the track is slightly bent. Once it’s open, the sun spills across the floor, showing all the scuff marks. We have everything packed in pretty tight. Sometimes I forget where I tucked a particular box and have to spend ten minutes digging through the back. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but there’s never a good time to move everything out to do it. People from the nearby apartments come by in the evenings once they get off work. It gets a bit hectic then, and the small fan behind the counter doesn't do much to move the air. I try to keep the shelves looking decent, but things always end up a bit slumped over by the end of the shift. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down, and the smell of boiling milk and ginger usually drifts in around four o’clock. It’s a basic shop, nothing too special to look at, but we stay busy enough keeping the locals supplied with their daily bits and pieces.
