Shri Shyam Marble

We are located in Sikar and have been doing this for a long time at Shri Shyam Marble. Sikar is a place where you see a lot of construction going on, so there is always a need for good stone. Our yard is pretty simple, just a big open space where we keep the marble slabs. We don't have a big staff, so we end up doing most of the work ourselves, from checking the stock to talking with the customers who wander in. The weather here can be quite tough, with cold winters and very hot summers, but the work doesn't stop. We spend a lot of time looking at the texture and the patterns on the marble because every piece is a bit different. It’s not like selling something made in a factory where everything is the same. We have to show people the actual slabs they are going to get. Most of the time, our boots are covered in dust and our hands are rough from handling the stone, but that's just part of the trade. We don't use any fancy sales talk or try to push people into buying things they don't want. We just show them what we have in the yard and let them decide. It's an honest way to make a living and we have built a lot of good relationships with local builders and homeowners over the years.
