Shri Ram Namkeen

Shri Ram Namkeen is sitting right at the Naya Bazar Naya Bazar Chowk. If you know the area you know how crowded it gets during the middle of the day. It is a lot of noise and people moving in every direction. We keep our bins full of different types of salty snacks. The smell of the spices is very strong and it hits you as soon as you get close to the corner. We spend a lot of time weighing out bags for customers who are in a hurry. We don't really have a place to sit down so people just grab what they need and keep moving. The shop is small and we have bags of stock piled up in the corners. Sometimes the fans don't do much against the heat but we just deal with it. I have been working here for a long time and I know most of the people who pass by the chowk. We try to make sure everything we sell is fresh because nobody likes stale snacks. The floor is just stone and we sweep it out a few times a day to keep the place looking decent. It is not a glamorous job but it is what we know. We close up once the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It is just a simple business in a busy spot.
