About Bhikamchand Sharma – Food & Beverages in Ajmer
I spend most of my days over at the Pushkar Bar Association on Civil Line. It is the kind of place where you always see lawyers in their black coats rushing around or sitting in the shade talking about their cases. Pushkar is a small town, but the legal side of things stays pretty active throughout the year. My name is Bhikamchand Sharma, and I’ve been part of this community for a long time. The office space is basic, with old wooden tables and shelves that are sagging under the weight of law books and dusty case files. It gets very hot in this part of Rajasthan, so we rely heavily on the ceiling fans to keep things moving. The Civil Line area is relatively quiet compared to the main market near the lake, which is nice when you need to read through documents. There is a lot of waiting involved in this line of work—waiting for hearings, waiting for clients, or waiting for the clerk to find a specific paper. We usually sit around the common areas and chat about local news while we wait. It isn’t a glamorous job, and the building definitely shows its age with the peeling paint and the creaky doors. But it’s where the work happens. You get to know everyone in the legal circle pretty well. We share the same problems with the heat and the slow paperwork. It is just part of the daily grind for us here.
