Shreenath Marble Roopangarh

We are out in Roopangarh at Shreenath Marble Roopangarh, not too far from the Post Office in Kishanghar. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city area, but it’s where we have the space to keep our marble. The location is near Kishanghar, so we get a lot of the spillover from the main markets. Our yard is quite simple. We have the slabs laid out on the ground or leaning against the frames. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, except when a truck is being loaded or unloaded. We spend a lot of our day just standing around the stone, looking at the different batches that come in. There isn't much to do in Roopangarh besides work, so we focus on the marble. We aren't big on fancy talk or corporate slogans. We just show the slabs as they are, with all their natural spots and lines. If someone wants to buy, we help them get it sorted. The paperwork is done in a small room near the gate. We’ve been here for a while and we know the local roads well. It gets very dusty when the wind picks up across the open land, but we just wash the stones down and keep going. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we like being a bit away from the main rush of the city.
