Shree Raghav Stonex

Our yard at Shree Raghav Stonex is on Paryawaran Road, right in the heart of the RIICO Industrial Area in Madanganj, Kishangarh. It’s easy to find us if you look for Kala Marble; we’re just on the opposite side of the road from them. Kishangarh is a huge place for the stone business, and it can be a bit overwhelming for people with all the different units and yards everywhere. We’re just one of the many spots along this dusty road. Every day is pretty much the same for us—lots of trucks moving, lots of noise, and a whole lot of marble slabs to move. We spend most of our time out in the sun checking the stock. The wind picks up a lot of white dust from all the cutting units nearby, so everything always has a thin layer of white powder on it. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we know how to do. We have a small office where we sit down with people to talk about what they’re looking for. Usually, we just walk them through the rows of stone so they can see the patterns for themselves in the daylight. There's no substitute for seeing the real thing in person. My father started this business and now we’re just keeping it going. We don’t do much advertising at all; mostly it’s just people driving by or hearing about us from someone else in the trade.
