Shree Prajapati Provision Store

Shree Prajapati Provision Store is up on Pushkar Road in the Kotda area. It’s a straightforward grocery shop where we keep the daily necessities. I started this place a few years back because there wasn't much else nearby at the time. The shop is built of brick and cement, and we have a heavy iron shutter that we pull down every night. Inside, it's mostly sacks of grain and rows of tins. It smells like spices and laundry soap in here. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that wobbles a bit. Most of my day is spent weighing out things or restocking the shelves when the delivery van comes. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to escape the sun for a few minutes and talk about the weather. I don't mind it. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, so I’m always wiping things down with a cloth. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know where we are. It’s a small life, but it’s ours. We keep the prices as fair as we can because we know everyone around here isn't rich. It's just a plain shop for plain people. We do our best to stay open even when it's raining hard or the weather is bad. That's just how we run things.
