Sharif General Store

Sharif General Store is located right in the HMT Industrial Area along Khanpura Road. It’s a place where there is always a lot of dust and noise from the factories nearby. We get a lot of workers coming in during their lunch breaks or after their shifts end. They usually want cigarettes, a quick snack, or maybe some bottled water. The shop is quite basic with metal racks that we bought second-hand. We keep things like tea leaves, sugar, and big tins of biscuits. The floor is made of rough stone and we have to sweep it several times a day because of the industrial grime outside. It’s not the prettiest shop, but it serves its purpose for the people around here. We have a small wooden bench outside where people sometimes sit for a minute before heading back to work. There’s a big calendar on the wall with pictures of gods that’s a few years out of date, but we keep it there anyway. Our stock changes depending on what the wholesalers have available. Sometimes we have plenty of soap, other times we are waiting for a week. We just handle things as they come. The traffic on the road is loud, so we often have to shout a bit to be heard over the trucks. It’s just the way things are in this part of town.
