Down on Makrana Road in Kishangarh, we’ve got Shahu Sweets Home. It’s a straightforward name for a straightforward place. We aren't much for fancy decorations or bright lights. Most of our customers are people passing through or workers from the nearby area who want a quick snack. We try to have something ready at all times of the day. The kitchen is right at the back, so you can usually hear the clanging of pots if you listen closely. We use what we can get locally, and we don't try to overcomplicate the recipes. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and the road gets messy. But we stay open anyway. There’s always cleaning to be done or something to prep for tomorrow. We aren't a big corporation, just a family-run spot trying to do things right. Sometimes we make a mistake and a batch isn't perfect, but we try to fix it. We value the people who come back week after week. It’s nice to have a chat while weighing out the sweets. The scale we use is old, but it’s accurate. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough so people know where we are. It’s a quiet kind of business. We focus on the basics and don't worry about the rest.
