About Saraswati Misthan Bhandar – Food & Beverages in Ajmer
Living in Kishangarh Madanganj, you get used to the pace of the town. Our shop, Saraswati Misthan Bhandar, fits right into that rhythm. We’ve been sitting here for years, watching the streets change while we keep doing the same thing. It’s a lot of work, waking up before the sun to start the first batch of milk. Most of the time, the shop smells like cardamom or fried ghee, which isn't a bad way to spend your day. We make sweets mostly, the kind people take to weddings or give to neighbors during festivals. It’s nothing special, just traditional stuff made the way it's always been done. We don't use machines for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand because that’s how we learned. The counter is always a bit cluttered with trays, and we might run out of things by late evening if it’s been a busy day. We don't have a website or a marketing team. If you're walking by and want something sweet, you just step inside. The benches are a bit old, but they work fine for a quick sit-down. We know the families around here, and now we’re seeing their kids come in. It makes the long hours feel worth it. We just keep our heads down and work on the next tray of barfi or gulab jamun. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy.
