Saraswati Mishtan Bhandar

We are located right near Boraz Circle on Foy Sagar Road. It’s a landmark that everyone knows, so people find us pretty easily. Our day usually starts before the sun is fully up because the dough needs time to rest and the milk needs to thicken. We don’t use any big machines, just our hands and the usual tools we’ve had for years. The shop isn't very large, but we make sure there is enough space for the displays. You can find us here most days, wearing our aprons and dealing with the heat from the stoves. We get a lot of people coming from the surrounding villages near Boraz Circle who are heading into the city. They often stop for a quick bite or to take some sweets back home for their families. We don’t bother with fancy packaging or anything too modern. We just wrap things in paper or put them in boxes like it's always been done. Sometimes we get a bit tired by the end of the day, but seeing the trays go empty is a good feeling. We’ve learned that people around here appreciate honesty more than anything else. If something isn't ready, we just tell them to come back in twenty minutes. It’s a straightforward way of doing business on Foy Sagar Road and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep making the sweets and snacks.
