Rawat General Store

You can find Rawat General Store located along the Adarsh Nagar Bypass Road near Nasirabad Road. It’s a practical sort of place where we try to stock the things people actually use every day. We aren't in the middle of a fancy shopping area, so it's mostly about serving the families living in the nearby blocks. I usually start the day by checking the milk delivery and putting the crates inside before the sun gets too hot. The shop has a lot of basic groceries like oil, salt, and matches. I also keep a good supply of stationery because there are kids nearby who always seem to lose their erasers or run out of ink. The flooring is just plain cement and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. I don't really have a computer or anything, just a thick notebook where I keep track of what I owe the suppliers. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep everything organized when new stock arrives, as the boxes just pile up in the corner until I have time to put them away. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just leave the door wide open to let the light in. It’s just me or my brother here most of the time. We don't have any big goals other than keeping the shelves full and helping out the neighbors who come by for their daily groceries.
