Our shop is located on Jaipur Road, and it’s a spot many people stop at when they’re traveling through. We make sweets and snacks, mostly traditional stuff that people have been eating around here for generations. The kitchen stays hot because the stoves are going from early in the morning until late at night. We use a lot of milk, sugar, and flour every single day. You can see the trays of freshly made sweets lined up in the glass cases at the front. We don’t use any complicated machines; most of the work is done by hand. The staff here has been making these recipes for years, so they don’t even need to look at measurements anymore. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded, especially during festival seasons when everyone wants to take something home. We try to move fast, but we also like to talk to the customers. It feels more like a community spot than just a business. We’ve had families coming to us for decades. We don’t change the recipes much because people like them the way they are. It’s a busy life, always something to stir or pack. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the customers happy. It’s hard work, but seeing someone enjoy a piece of barfi makes it feel worth it. We usually have a few stools if you want to eat your snack right here while it is fresh.
