Rajeev Sharma

Being located in Pushkar Halwai Ki Gali near Gau Ghat gives our work a specific kind of feel. Rajeev Sharma is basically just a local face in a very old part of town. The lane is narrow, and you can always smell the sweets being made nearby. It’s a lively place to be. We don’t have a corporate office with elevators or shiny lobbies. You have to walk through the lane to find us. It’s a bit tucked away, but the people around here know us well. The room we work in is small and stays cool even when it’s hot outside because the walls are thick. We don’t have any fancy signs. Just a small plate by the door. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop in or sorting through documents. It’s not high-tech, but it’s reliable. We use a lot of paper and ink. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a slower way of doing things, but it feels more human. We aren't trying to expand into some giant company. We like being right here in the Gali. It’s our spot. Every morning starts with the sound of the market waking up, and we just join in. It’s a good life, even if the stairs are a bit steep and the lighting could be better. We just keep going with the daily grind.
