Rajasthan Sweet Store

This shop, Rajasthan Sweet Store, is right by Agra Gate. It’s a place that sees a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. I’ve been working here since I was much younger, helping my father before I took over. The shop is old, and you can tell by looking at the wooden shelves and the way the floor is worn down. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the glass cases where we put the items we make. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We arrive, get the stoves going, and start working on the milk and sugar. It gets loud with the traffic outside, but we don't mind it. Agra Gate is a landmark, so it’s easy for people to find us. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. If people want something, they just walk in and ask. We try to keep the shop clean, but with so many people coming in and out, it’s a constant job. Our regulars are mostly locals who have been coming here for decades. They know us by name and we know what they like. We don't try to compete with the big modern stores. We just keep doing what we know how to do. It’s a simple business and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. That is the whole story for us.
