Puneet Super Mart

Puneet Super Mart is over on Pushkar Road, right in the Panchsheel Nagar area. We called it a super mart, but it's really just a larger shop where we try to keep everything you might need for the house. It's a bit of a walk from the main gate, but plenty of people come by on their way home. We have rows of shelves that are usually full of pulses, spices, and cleaning stuff. Sometimes the labels on the shelves get mixed up, so you might have to look around a bit. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and moving things around so the newer stuff is in the back. The floor is white tile, though it gets dirty pretty fast when it rains outside. We have a small counter where we do the billing, and sometimes the machine acts up, which is annoying for everyone. It’s just me and a couple of boys who help with the heavy lifting. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything. Just plain clothes and a lot of work to do every day. On Sundays, it gets really packed and the noise can be a bit loud. We just keep going until it's time to pull down the shutters. It’s a decent place to work and we know the locals well. Life moves pretty fast around here, and we just keep the doors open.
