Prem Provision Store

Our place, Prem Provision Store, is right by the Pal Beesla Railway Fatak. It is quite a spot because of the Aam Ka Talab and the people coming from Shakti Nagar. We hear the train whistles all day long, and when the gates close, we usually get a rush of people wanting a cold drink or a quick snack. The shop is filled with bags of lentils and big tins of oil. We have a lot of items for the kitchen and also some basic things for the house. The walls have some old posters on them and the lighting is a bit dim. We don't really have a set schedule, we just open up early and stay until the last customer leaves. Sometimes the road gets blocked with traffic from the fatak, and it gets really dusty. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who stop by for a minute. The counter is always covered in small change and bags that we are ready to fill. We keep our own records in a big red book. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than two people come in at the same time. We have lived around here for years, so we know most of the families in Shakti Nagar. It is just a honest, simple shop where we do our daily work and watch the trains go by.
